Fusion Middleware is a comprehensive and unified middleware platform that includes products such as WebCenter, Business Intelligence, Content Management, and WebLogic Server. It powers many solutions such as Java, identity management, service oriented architecture, and data integration. These hotpluggable services and solutions share a common Grid infrastructure, enabling them to be deployed independently, integrated, or distributed in a cluster of servers for industry-leading performance, scalability, and reliability.
WebCenter connects applications, information and people by weaving together the most complete and open portfolio of portal, Web experience management, social and collaboration technologies, structured and unstructured content into a single, integrated suite. Channeling the right information in the context of the business process in which users are engaged, WebCenter creates intuitive portals, composite applications, and mash-ups that seamlessly interoperate with business applications.
WebCenter Content unifies document, digital asset, Web content, and records management. A single-architecture approach allows all content-documents, Web pages, imagery, email and records to be accessed via common interfaces and desktop tools, improving ease of use, sharing, searching, and compliance.
Data Integrator: Data Services are feature-rich, virtual views built across federated and heterogeneous data sources such as semi-structured sources, relational databases, and Web services. They simplify and mediate bidirectional data access and updates for business processes, portals, and applications.
WebLogic Server is the cornerstone application server and Java runtime platform implementing the Java EE specification and Web Services standards. It provides industry-leading performance and scalability through state-of-the-art clustering, built-in software load balancing, server self-monitoring, overload protection, and GridLink for Oracle RAC.

B2B

B2B securely connects an enterprise’s business processes with its partners via standard exchanges. It orchestrates and monitors all data exchanges. The multi-protocol gateway enables inter-enterprise connectivity via messaging services and protocols such as ebXML, HIPAA, EIDX, EDI, RosettaNet, xCBL and lots more. Oracle B2B also provides end-to-end instance tracking, governance, auditing, process intelligence, and multi-level security.

Data Service Integrator

Data Services are feature-rich, virtual views built across federated and heterogeneous data sources such as semi-structured sources, relational databases, and Web services. They simplify and mediate bidirectional data access and updates for business processes, portals, and applications. Data Services implement mappings and transformations, offer XQuery and SQL interfaces, secure data service functions, intelligently orchestrate query and transaction operations for the data sources, and enforce access-control policies driven by specific values of the data elements. Additional features include auditing, caching, and an Excel plug-in.

API Gateway

API Gateway is a standards-based, API security and management solution that enables organizations to securely and rapidly adopt cloud, mobile and SOA services by bridging the gaps between systems via data format translation and managing the interactions that cross domain boundaries. It virtualizes and routes cloud traffic as well as accelerates XML processing. The policy-driven gateway provides DMZ-class security and a comprehensive threat defense system at the service perimeter. It also extends data governance, integration with identity and access management platforms, and AuthN and AuthZ policies to all applications without changing the backend application.

Integration Adapters

Integration Adapters provide a unified connectivity architecture that leverages specialized WSIF/JCA-based connectors. These connectors enable fast, bi-directional integration between on-premise, legacy and cloud based applications and systems into a Service Oriented Architecture. Adapters are available for technologies and protocols such as FTP and JMS, for over 300 COTS applications and databases, for legacy and mainframe data sources such as Tuxedo, VSAM, and CICS.

API Catalog

OAC allows organizations to collect and register APIs so that they can be reused in many application development projects. It includes a simple metamodel for an API asset, automation to populate OAC, and the ability for users to search OAC for APIs and understand the details of the APIs to assess their fit in the user's application. Further, OAC provides error handling, version management and document sharing and control. OAC's harvester automatically collects REST and SOAP services into the catalog. Users can edit and publish cataloged APIs, add comments, and track usage. It also tightly integrates with Oracle SOA Suite and Service Bus, as well as facilitates API consumption in JDeveloper.

API Manager

API Manager cultivates developer communities by facilitating the creation and reuse of APIs that expose the functionality of backend systems and services. Streamlining the developer experience of finding, understanding, and using APIs, API Manager enables application developers to create, edit, publish, and secure APIs. It also controls subscriptions and runtime access to APIs, and tracks API performance.
